We live in a world of activity, and rarely do we see through the illusion of our daily lives to glimpse the true nature of the present moment. Our minds tend to create false constructs of reality based on our belief that what we see is what there is. And yet, we know that two people looking in the same direction will "see" entirely different scenarios. Through infrared capture, long exposures, and digital representations, Lois' images open to the essential character of her subjects and suggest an alternate reality. They invite the viewer to ask, "What is real-is there more?"

Lois resides on Whidbey Island in Washington State, gathering her inspiration locally, regionally, and wherever she travels. She holds a first place award in the environmental division for Women in Photography International, exhibits in juried shows locally and regionally, and serves her commercial clients with outstanding quality.
